Pet Symptoms

Baytril Tablet

Ear infections and pneumonia are two of the conditions most commonly treated by Baytril.
Ear infections are caused by bacteria, which spread to the inner, middle, or outer ear. Most infections begin on the outside part of the ear, and as the condition progresses, the bacteria go deeper into the ear canal. If not treated promptly, it can eventually lead to an inner ear infection and complications such as deafness and neurological problems can occur. Ear infection signs to look out for in your pet include; tilting head, excessive earwax production, lethargy, painful ears (especially when touched), coordination issues, unusual odor, visible swelling of the ear, redness, hearing difficulties, pawing at ears, and shaking head.
Pneumonia is a life-threatening condition in dogs and cats that occurs from inhalation of fungus, viruses, or bacteria. It leads to severe lung inflammation, making it difficult for the affected pet to breathe. Due to the severity of the disease, it is extremely important that owners get their pet examined right away at the first sign of infection. This way, treatment can begin early on and the risk of complications can be reduced. Some of the symptoms of pneumonia in felines and canines are; trouble breathing, excessive panting, puffing out of lips when exhaling, productive cough, nasal discharge, lethargy, decreased appetite, reduced water intake, dehydration, and fever.
